CALDWELL THEATRE COMPANY PICTURE BOOK

Terry Hardcastle Terry Hardcastle in The Decline and Fall of the Entire World as Seen Through the Eyes of Cole Porter (Summer 2007)

During my 34 years as co-founder and artistic director of Caldwell Theatre Company, I cast all of the 200 (or more) productions, and directed at least 150 of them.

From 1975 to 2009, Caldwell produced four or five productions during Winter Seasons, and enhanced most years with Summer Seasons, Theater For Schools plays, and Mizner Festival cabarets and special events.

In 2012, when the theater fell into the hands of receivers, my friends fretted about what happened to the large framed photographs that enhanced the lobby, green room and backstage areas of our various theater venues.

Never fear. The photographs are electronically secure. You may browse them here!

GUEST STARS & VISITORS AT CALDWELL

Len Cariou Len Cariou guest stars at Caldwell in 1997 as James Joyce in the new play with music, Himself!

Famous people from the worlds of theater, film, art and music made their way to Caldwell during my years at the theater. A few of them were guest stars in major productions. Some of them headlined our Mizner Festival concerts. Some dropped in to say hello because they were in the area. Or because they knew someone in a show.

Every one of them left us with a story to tell.

For your enjoyment, I assembled memories and photographs of visiting celebrities and put them in alphabetical order. It begins with Mr. Abbott and continues for 18 pages to Fay Wray – with appearances by such luminaries Van Cliburn, Barbara Cook, Beth Fowler and Roddy McDowall.
